The dream I once had

They all came here hungry, 
They all came here to fulfil their goals 
Filled with everlasting energy.
So passionate, so real, so unique
Unlike me that I once thought to be resistant, 
they are resilient. 

Their identity remains untouched; this is what makes them strong and keeping them on business
They are never content of being average, they fight until they become winners.
They fear the worst, I fear nothing. I can walk in the darkness.
They are claiming the stars, while I claim the finest down and feathers this world can over.

I have been grounded, with no tears left to cry. 
I have been fooled by my own temporal desires.
I have made the darkness my new home. In it, I have lost my soul

I have tried to rise every dawn.
I have tried to fight 
I have tried to resist 
but I couldn't,
The dreams I once had died.
Therefore, I'm lost
